Building Community Through Life Groups at RSM Christian School

At RSM Christian School, we believe that education is about more than academics; it’s about relationships, discipleship, and walking alongside one another in faith. With that in mind, we are excited to introduce Life Groups, a new initiative designed to intentionally build community and encourage spiritual growth among our students.

Life Groups are small groups of 8 to 10 students, led by RSMCS teachers, staff members, and pastors from Bridge Church. These groups meet on select Wednesdays throughout the school year, creating consistent, dedicated time for students to connect, reflect, and grow together.

Why Life Groups Matter

God created us for relationships. Students grow best when they feel known, supported, and encouraged; not just academically, but spiritually and emotionally as well. Life Groups provide a space where students can build meaningful connections with peers and trusted adult mentors in a setting that feels personal and safe.

Within their Life Groups, students have the opportunity to:

  • Build authentic friendships
  • Pray together and for one another
  • Discuss faith in age-appropriate, meaningful ways
  • Learn how to support and encourage others

Rather than one-time gatherings, Life Groups are designed to be consistent and relational. Groups will remain together as much as possible throughout a student’s time at RSMCS, allowing friendships and mentorships to deepen year after year. By the end of the school year, each group will have gathered seven times for intentional community-building experiences.

Discipleship in Action

Life Groups are an extension of our commitment to Christ-centered education. In these smaller settings, students experience discipleship in action; learning how to live out their faith through prayer, conversation, accountability, and encouragement.

Guided by caring adults who model Christian leadership, students are given space to ask questions, share challenges, and grow in their understanding of what it means to follow Christ in everyday life. These moments help reinforce biblical values taught in the classroom and chapel, making faith personal and applicable.

Continuing Our Commitment to Prayer and Unity

In addition to Life Groups, RSM Christian School will continue its Prayer Partner program, which pairs grade levels together for shared prayer and activities throughout the year. This program helps build leadership, unity, and a sense of family across age groups, allowing older students to model faith and responsibility while younger students feel supported and encouraged.

Together, Life Groups and Prayer Partners strengthen the sense of community that makes RSMCS such a special place, a school where students are known, valued, and nurtured in their faith.

Thank You for Your Support

We are grateful for the prayers and support of our parent community as we continue to create intentional opportunities for students to connect, grow, and thrive. Life Groups represent another step in our mission to partner with families in raising students who are grounded in faith, strong in character, and prepared for the future.

We look forward to seeing how God works through these relationships in the months and years ahead.
