Preschool and JK:  15 students (with an aide)

RSMCS is fully accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges).

All RSMCS classroom teachers are credentialed and also maintain Christian Educator Certification through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  Faculty and staff are CPR-certified.

RSM Christian School follows the California State Standards–some of the top educational standards in the nation. Our teachers use the best resources available to integrate a biblical worldview with the subject-matter standards. Curricula include Bob Jones University Press (BJUP), ACSI, A Beka, Houghton Mifflin, Glencoe, McDougal Littell, Junior Great Books, and Prentice Hall.

RSMCS prepares our students to present themselves and their knowledge well by participating in ACSI-sponsored competitions such as Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, Speech Meet, Creative Writing Festival, and Technology Fair.

Junior High

Our junior high is composed of grades 7 and 8.

Students are well prepared for high school at RSM Christian School as evidenced by the excellent acceptance rates at our area's private high schools as well as our standardized test scores.

Students are offered the opportunity to develop leadership skills by participating in our Student Action Council.  Junior High electives for 7th and 8th graders vary from year to year; offerings have included digital animation, debate, drama, art, cooking, American Sign Language, and yearbook.  In preparation for high school, eighth graders receive a year of instruction in Spanish.

Enrichment Programs

Students from JK to grade 8 are instructed in P.E.

Technology, Spanish, and Music are taught once per week by teachers specifically qualified in those fields.

Preparation for 21st century learners must include gaining experience in technology.  Students from K-6 are instructed in word processing, digital presentations, spreadsheets, graphics, and desktop publishing, all the while learning the proper use of the internet.

Students participate in The Art of the Master program where they learn about the great artists and create their own masterpieces using the techniques of these artists.

Each week students in Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade attend chapel.  They gather together for age-appropriate times of corporate worship and Bible teaching.  Our pastors, administrators, teachers, and honored guests are regularly invited to teach from God's Word.  Parents are always welcome to attend.

Two to three times per year, students at all grade levels demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus through their service to the local and global community.  Service opportunities have included Operation Christmas Child, shoe drives, collections for local food banks, clothing drives, care packages for our military, blanket making, and coin drives for  Casa Alegre Orphanage as well as for building homes for widows on Mt. Elgon in Kenya.

Along with regular P.E. classes, RSMCS students may participate in afterschool sports.

Students in grades 5th - 8th (Boys and Girls) compete in the PAL League in volleyball, soccer, flag football, basketball, and track.

In addition to sports, students have the opportunity to develop their God-given gifts and talents by participating in our Christmas and spring musical productions.  Cub Scouts have meetings on campus.  Additional after school classes have included ceramics, drawing, chess club and Lego design.

Extended Care Program

Care and Recreation (C&R) is a loving, safe, and fun program designed to meet the needs of families who require care for their children ages Preschool - 8th Grade before and after normal school hours.  C&R opens each school day at 7:00am and closes at 6:00pm.  C&R fees and grade level schedules are listed under the Care and Recreation tab on our homepage.
