Music: Building a Foundation of Joy and Skill
From rhythm and song in preschool to ensemble performances in upper grades, music at RSMCS cultivates discipline, creativity, and joy. Students learn vocal technique, notation, rhythm, and the fundamentals of musical collaboration. Grades 3–4 explore recorders, while upper elementary students begin simple ensemble work and worship pieces. Many continue through junior high in worship electives or private lessons.
Visual Art: Creativity in Every Classroom
Elementary students in Kindergarten through 6th grade participate in monthly art classes that introduce a variety of mediums, from watercolor and clay to collage and digital design. Each project connects creativity with skill development and faith-based themes, encouraging students to express beauty through a Christian worldview.
Their yearlong efforts culminate in a vibrant Art Show during our annual Open House, where families and guests celebrate the talent and imagination of our young artists. This showcase not only honors student achievement but also reinforces our belief that creativity is a reflection of God’s design.
Theater: Confidence on Stage and Beyond
Each year, students can participate in two full-scale productions, open to grades K–8. Whether acting, singing, dancing, or working behind the scenes on tech and set design, our theater program builds confidence, teamwork, and stagecraft. Past productions have included Annie Jr., The Lion King, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Frozen Jr.—giving every student a chance to shine.
