From the classroom to our nation’s capital…
Our 8th-grade Washington, D.C. trip isn’t just a field trip, it’s a rite of passage.
For years, these students have heard about this moment… and now they’ve lived it. Walking where history happened. Standing where freedom was fought for. Seeing firsthand the story they’ve been studying come to life.
From Williamsburg ➡️ Gettysburg ➡️ Washington, D.C… and even a once-in-a-lifetime visit to the Pentagon
But one moment we’ll never forget:
Watching our students honor our fallen heroes by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A powerful reminder of sacrifice, service, and the cost of freedom.
These are the experiences that shape perspective. Build gratitude. And mark the transition from student to leader.

RSMCS FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE 2026
There’s something sacred about moments like these.
Dads taking the lead… setting the tone… showing their daughters what love, strength, and faith look like in action.
At RSMCS, we believe a father’s role goes far beyond this one special night. He is called to be the spiritual leader of his home, guiding with wisdom, leading with humility, and pointing his children toward Christ in both word and example.
And for one evening, we get a glimpse of that calling on full display, through twirls on the dance floor, proud smiles, and little hands held tight.
To every dad who showed up, leaned in, and led well… you are shaping hearts that will carry this love for a lifetime.

From these humble beginnings… to generations of impact.
March 1981 marked the very first day of RSM Christian School (then, Mission Hills Christian School). Just a small group of students, faithful educators, and a big vision rooted in Christ.
They started with faith, purpose… and a belief in what God could do. And more than four decades later, that story is still being written.
The mission hasn’t changed, only the reach.

A star lesson in science this week! ⭐️
Our 7th graders rolled up their sleeves and dove into a hands-on marine biology lab this week, dissecting starfish to explore their fascinating anatomy. From tube feet to the water vascular system, students got an up-close look at how these incredible creatures function.
Safe to say this lab was… a star of the week.
Hands-on learning makes science unforgettable, and a lot more interesting!

Our first graders celebrated Read Across America Day the best way we know how , completely immersed in stories.
From cozy spots on the floor to focused desk reading, partner shares to special guest readers, every corner of the classroom was filled with imagination.
Days like today build more than literacy skills. They build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. And that’s the goal.
Because when a child loves to read, everything changes.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week isn’t just cute decorations and sweet gifts (though we loved every single one). It’s a reminder that the heartbeat of our school is our people. The ones who pray over students. The ones who stay late. The ones who show up every single day with patience, excellence, and joy.

Last night, two of our 8th graders were honored by the @rsmcity City of Rancho Santa Margarita through the Student Recognition Program, not just for strong academics, but for the integrity, leadership, and Christlike character they live out every day.
Our Junior High ASB showed up loud and proud, alongside Principal Jensen, Mrs. Gulino, and JH teachers, Mrs. Haverkamp and Mrs. Sakach to celebrate this well-earned moment.
This is what it means to be a Lion. 🦁

Today, science came to life in the best way.
Dr. Bulger (one of our very own school parents!) spent the day with our 5th graders teaching them all about the heart, how it works, how to keep it healthy, and what happens when it needs repair. And yes… he even brought a real (cow’s) heart for a hands-on look at the real thing.
What they’ve been studying in their science unit suddenly had depth, texture, and purpose. This is what learning should be: connected, practical, unforgettable.
We’re grateful for parents who step into the classroom and help our students see how knowledge becomes a calling.
