STATEMENT OF FAITH:

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  • We believe that the salvation of lost and sinful man through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit is essential.

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost- they that are saved to the resurrection of life and them that are lost to the resurrection of damnation.

  • We believe in the literal existence of both heaven and hell.

REQUIREMENTS FOR K-8 TEACHERS INCLUDE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited four-year college or university

  • Complete all necessary professional testing – CBEST, CSET, and RICA

  • Valid California teaching credential

  • Possess, or willing to obtain ACSI Teacher Certification

  • For our Early Education program, 12 ECE core units are required

  • Minimum of two years of classroom experience

  • Include a brief explanation of your journey of faith in Christ. How did you come to know the Lord and where you are in your walk with Him now.

Upon review of this information, the applicant will be contacted via email with further information regarding the next steps in the process.

2023-2024 OPENINGS

PRESCHOOL/PRE-K TEACHER ASSISTANT

Requirements:

  • Completion of 6 ECE units, with progress towards 12 core ECE units. 
  • Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate. 
  • CPR and First Aid certified

Duties / Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing environment that fosters children's emotional, physical, and cognitive growth
  • Communicate effectively and maintain a positive rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, flexibility, and reliability
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Uphold professionalism through positive conduct on and off campus, adhering to school policies
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Daily classroom set up and clean up
  • Supervise playground activity
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions
  • Have a personal relationship with God

Physical / Mental Requirements: 

  • Able to observe, hear, and respond to children's needs, emergencies, and conflicts that might occur in a classroom, on the playground, bathroom, or other common areas.
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. from the floor to a waist-high table multiple times per day.
  • Crouch to a child’s height, maintain eye contact at the child’s level, sit on the floor, and get up from the floor easily.
  • Move at a fast pace, quickly respond to a situation, jump into participation in an activity, or assist other staff.
  • Able to determine cognitive, social, and physical needs of children, and to communicate both in writing and verbally in the English language at a level the parents and other administrative staff can understand and respond to.
  • Run to a child in an emergency. 
  • Stand tall enough to reach children on the highest piece of equipment.
  • Stand for an extended period.
  • Navigate daily challenges involved in working with children and parents

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER (Elementary & Junior High)

RSM Christian School is always accepting applications for substitute teachers. Those desiring to sub in grades K-8 must meet the following requirements:

  • Possess a four-year college degree

  • Passed the CBEST

  • Have or be in a credential program

  • Have classroom experience
