  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited four-year college or university

  • Complete all necessary professional testing – CBEST, CSET, and RICA

  • Valid California teaching credential

  • Possess, or willing to obtain ACSI Teacher Certification

  • For our Early Education program, 12 ECE core units are required

  • Minimum of two years of classroom experience

RSM Christian School is looking for highly qualified individuals, called by God to pour into our students and families. We accept resumes throughout the year in order to build our repertoire of candidates for hire. 2023-2024 OPENINGS


We are looking for a full-time, long-term substitute for a first-grade classroom.  The teacher will be working with another first-grade teacher who is a veteran teacher. The class size is 21 students, with a part-time aide for both first-grade classes. The classroom teacher (who is going out on maternity leave)  will be in the classroom for the first 2-3 weeks of school. The long-term sub will be responsible for the instruction of Bible, ELA (phonics/reading, writing, language usage), math, science, and social studies.  Science and Social studies may also be split between the two first-grade teachers. The curriculum is in place for the year. The students will have pull-out classes (other instructors) for PE (2x a week), music, Spanish, STEM, (all 1x per week), and art (1x a month).  The long-term sub will also be responsible for first-trimester report cards and conferences. All classrooms have NuLine interactive boards.  The current classroom teacher has created digital manipulative boards, and most lessons for all subjects are created and loaded.  The substitute will have access to all and is encouraged to also bring his/her creativity and knowledge into all aspects of the classroom.  First grade is a 1:1 classroom with iPads for the students.  This position MAY turn into a permanent position.

RSM Christian School is always accepting applications for substitute teachers. Those desiring to sub in grades K-8 must meet the following requirements:

  • Possess a four-year college degree

  • Passed the CBEST

  • Submit a cover letter, your statement of faith, and resume
