Daina Boone

Daina Boone

Librarian

Daina Boone

Mrs. Boone graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a B.A. in English and History.  She then went on to complete her Master of Education at Colorado State University, where she began her career in education, teaching 6th-grade Language Arts.  Daina and her family returned to California, and she went on to teach English, history, and economics courses at both the middle and high school levels before taking a career break to raise her two young children.  Both of her children are RSMCS students; her daughter graduated from 8th grade in 2025.

The only thing Daina loves to do, besides being with her husband and children, is reading!  She reads all types of novels, poetry, and non-fiction, with a particular love of Shakespeare and Victorian era novels.  Her love of reading and knowledge of classic and contemporary literature for children inspired her to come back into the workforce as a Librarian because she believes a lifelong reader is a lifelong learner.  When Daina is not reading, she is…well, she’s always reading!

Katie Kelly

Katie Kelly

Art of the Masters Teacher

Katie Kelly

Katie Kelly has been interested in art for as long as she can remember, but there was a moment when she was 9 years old that crystallized her future artistic endeavors. During a family holiday, her grandma displayed a set of illustrations and political cartoons that her grandfather had created during World War II. Mrs. Kelly was captivated by her grandfather’s artistic abilities, and she has been inspired to paint and draw ever since. Mrs. Kelly studied graphic design and oil painting and minored in art history at Indiana University. She graduated with a BA in Fine Arts.

Upon graduating, Mrs. Kelly accepted a teaching position at a small art academy where she taught all ages. Years later, she was given a wonderful opportunity to paint fine art for Disney for more than nine years. During this time, Mrs. Kelly also taught art. Mrs. Kelly acknowledges how much of a blessing her students are to her. Mrs. Kelly finds much of her inspiration through her husband, Ty, her two sons, Trey and Ethan, and God.
